Ariella Pahlke
Ariella Pahlke is a documentary and video artist, curator, and educator. With a background in philosophy, Ariella has spent the past seventeen years creating documentaries and independent shorts, collaborating on multi-media performance pieces, curating, facilitating video projects with community groups, and teaching. Her film and video work has been shown on television, at festivals and in galleries throughout Canada and the U.S., and in Norway, India, and New Zealand.

Barbara Badessi
Originally from Italy, Barbara worked in the film industry before coming to Canada in 1985. After graduating from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Barbara has worked as the Director of Production of the Centre for Art Tapes, the associate producer, production manager and post-production supervisor on Thom Fitzgerald’s feature film Beefcake, as the associate producer on Colin MacKenzie documentary Jerry Granelli – In the Moment. With Flashfire Productions Inc., Barbara has produced Ann Verrall’s half hour drama Rain (Best Atlantic Short Film, Telefilm Award at the 20th Atlantic Film Festival) for CBC, Shandi Mitchell’s half hour drama Baba’s House (2002 Gemini nominee - Best Short Dramatic Program) for Global TV and Ariella Pahlke’s one hour documentary Rock and Desire for Global TV and Burning Rubber for Bravo!

Composer
Lukas Pearse
Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Lukas Pearse has been a creative musician since the late 1980s.
Lukas' education includes studies in contemporary musicology at Goldsmiths College in London, UK, and contemporary music performance at Dalhousie, but he began by studying audio-visual art at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and playing rock and folk music.
Lukas is an avid improviser, and has performed on both acoustic double bass and electric bass guitar with innumerable original Halifax bands. He has also composed music for many diverse ensembles, as well as for dance and film. His sonic art installations and performances have been exhibited in various local galleries.
